A Tale of a Garden
A workshop organized by artists Adina Orboi and Miriam Del Seppia. Held at A Tale of a Tub, Rotterdam (NL), as part of Open Monumentendag, an annual heritage celebration during which monuments all over the Netherlands are opened to the general public, 14-15 September 2024.

We come together to celebrate the dye garden, sharing the story of flowers and plants. The tale of a garden, seen through the eyes of bumblebees and caterpillars. Nature is spouting her knowledge toward us like the intertwined roots of a community and we are sharing her seeds with our neighbors and friends.

We will explore the unseen universe of the plants, flowers, stems and leaves, challenging all our senses. Artists Adina Orboi and Miriam Del Seppia will guide the participants through a simple workshop of textile dyeing by making prints from the plants of the garden. We will play with botanical printing and hammer-dyeing, learning about the various possibilities of colors and shapes that these plants can metamorphose into.
